Finke pre-selects Barcelona marksman, Jean-Marie Dongou
German technician Volker Finke has called a group of 28 indomitable lions players to camp in Paris. Significantly, there is one newbie – Jean-Marie Dongou who recently netted two during the Barca friendly against a little known side. Dongou has been given the emblematic 9 shirt of his team and is expected to create a sensation this year. Most other players in Finke’s list are returning.

At a time when other teams are playing friendlies to hone their skills, Cameroon will be content with a two day gathering in the cosy French capital. Past mismanagement has made the lions very unattractive as sparring partners to other teams and they will have a tough time knowing their true level before playing Libya in September. Let’s hope that the gods of football will be on our side like many Cameroonians believe.
